So we know by now that true wellness is a product of three factors: the mind, the body, and finally, the soul. All three are interrelated, integrated and connected. To achieve total wellness and balance, it’s essential to address all three areas. This includes the wellness of our minds.
As an expert, many have asked me what is the best way to offset mental distress. Certainly, we’ve all have experience the many symptoms of mental distress, and they are not fun. Improving your mental state can be done easily. You can boost your mood and outlook through proper nutrition and exercise, and, yes, also by thinking positive thoughts.
If you think you may be suffering from some sort of mental distress, here is a short list below to help you identify:
• Anxiety
• Anger
• Low Self Esteem
• Agitation
• Combative Behavior
• Crying
• Confused Thoughts
• Emotional eating
• Unresolved Greif Issues
• Depression
• Eating problems
Certain foods that I call Superfoods, which I’ll discuss in Chapter 9, can help your mental acuity and give you razor-sharp focus so you won’t be distracted by your own mind. You’ll be able to make your mind your best friend instead of your worst enemy. Also, I will show you anti-aging foods which will help you be more mentally alert, help increase your memory, live longer, thus decreasing your risk of age onset illnesses and age-related problems. And the part I love most, and I know that you will too-is that these foods taste absolutely delicious!
There is no doubt that the mind is the most powerful muscle in the body because it directs the rest of the body. If you’re able to get in control of your mind and focus on what you want to achieve, not looking right or left but keeping your eye on the prize, your mind will lead your body and the rest of your life in the right direction. And if you can easily “train” your mind to be in control, focused on only creating prosperity, and being positive,
The wise philosopher Plato said, “The first and best victory is to conquer self.” He stated that if proper balance is needed to maintain a healthy body, the same is true of our mental state and also our soul. Its amazing that so many of his timeless insights are still applicable in today’s health field. So read this book with an open mind and true intent to make the necessary improvements. Don’t think of it as making a change, as changes can be either good or bad. Think always of making improvements in your life because improvements are always good! If you’re not waking up and jumping out of bed looking forward to the day, then you don’t have enough goals, you don’t enough passion, and you don’t have enough clarity. I’m going to show you how to make improvements so that your life will be a journey you celebrate every day.
